The Global Media Style Guide on Islam (MSG-I) is built by a team based around the world who recognise the value of the need to represent Islam in the global media accurately, authentically and with accountability, and is led by a Special Advisory Board. The following are contact people for each region of the world:

ASIA

Idris Kamal is Head of Asia for MSG-I. He is a veteran in the social sector where he has pioneered IT and automation solutions in the 21st century for organisations in the UK, Middle East and Asia. He is currently Head of Operations at Roses of Peace – a youth-driven, ground-up NGO that advocates interfaith and interracial harmony in Singapore, which has the President of Singapore, H.E. Halima Yacob, as its Patron. His passion is history, heritage, and education where he is involved in several ongoing projects. He resides in Singapore with his family. (Contact)

 

EUROPE, MIDDLE EAST & AFRICA

Rana Ismail is the Initiative Co-Director and Head for Europe, Middle East and Africa for MSG-I. With more than a decade’s experience in market research, marketing and project management, Rana has held senior executive roles with companies such as Nielsen and Sagaci, and also been a Practitioner Professor of Market Research at the Paris ESLSCA Business School. Since 2014, she has been the Project Director for Ziyara GPS, the world’s leading app to the heritage sites of the Holy Cities of Makkah and Madinah, available on Google Play and Apple in all the world’s major languages and was interviewed for Saudi Arabia’s English language newspaper, Saudi Gazette. She is based in Cairo, Egypt. (Contact)
